‘Part of the ‘Women of Firsts’ solo exhibition

A twist to her notable editions: Tuna Kiwango? In this collection, the artist seeks to show how the media should represent these six women and similar women from all over the world. She designed the newspaper to include six articles that shed light, criticise and educate about the relevant topics related to each woman that, unfortunately, most of the world has intentionally chosen to ignore or misinform!

(The ‘Women of Firsts’ exhibition was the artist’s solo exhibition whose goal was simple yet vital, to acknowledge and celebrate six remarkable women who are pioneers in different fields. Women who the artist feels are not well-known because most people do not consider their communities to be as important as others. As such, through each brightly coloured piece, the artist wanted the audience to learn about these women and their people’s stories and question why it is challenging to get this information in the first place and why said information is usually highly biased.)
